Our Founder

Zuzana Lenartova (MMus.DipEd.)

Zuzana Lenartova (MMus.DipEd.), our founder and principal trained at the Conservatorium of Music in Kosice, Slovakia, before completing a Masters Degree in Musicology and Piano Performance and a Diploma of Education at the University Comenius, Bratislava, the leading tertiary institution in Slovakia.

Zuzana has worked as a piano teacher at the Conservatorium and was responsible for setting concert programs for the State Philharmonic Orchestra in Kosice. She has written performance reviews for newspapers and magazines.

When Zuzana moved to Sydney in 2000 she established the Eastern Suburbs Piano Tuition. Zuzana’s expertise is in tailoring musical training and skills to ensure both students and Eastern Suburbs Piano Tuition teachers reach their full potential.

Tutoring

Apart from standard “one to one” piano tutoring Zuzana specializes in:

• Intense tuition for an exam preparation - for students who have limited time to prepare for AMEB exams or auditions and who need a concentrated course to produce the required results.
• Piano assessments – a service providing independent professional advice to parents or students, assessing potential musical abilities and the best way forward. Assessments are also available for students who would like to pursue a higher music education or need guidance relating to their musical ambitions.

Mentoring

Zuzana provides mentoring services and training to prospective piano teachers covering teaching methods, student-parent liaison and individual student musical development.

Students’ Program Development

Getting students to practice is the bane of many parents, and Zuzana has looked closely at how to get aspiring pianists to practice smart, not hard. As a result she has launched a special Student’s Practice Manual with a weekly planner to make practice sessions for Eastern Suburbs Piano Tuition’s students more effective and enjoyable.
